Members are the backbone of PHAN
Members are an integral part of PHAN, an organization that has provided leadership in Peel on HIV related issues for over 20 years. In that time, PHAN has contributed to bettering the lives of those living with and affected by HIV in Mississauga, Brampton and Caledon.
Members of PHAN recognize the value and importance of our mission and our work. As a member of PHAN, you will help to ensure the health of the organization as both a Not For Profit Corporation in Ontario and a Registered Charitable Organization in Canada. As such, you will have specific rights and responsibilities as described in our By-Laws. These include:
- the right to vote on propositions at our Annual General Meeting (AGM) of members;
- the right to be considered for a position on the Board of Directors;
- the right to nominate and vote for candidates for the Board of Directors;
- the right to contribute to setting the strategic vision and direction of the organization;
Members contribute their hearts, hands and voices to improving the lives of those of us living with HIV and to preventing new HIV transmissions among people and communities who are most vulnerable and at-risk.
If you wish to participate in the AGM on November 3, 2016, please submit your application by October 28, 2016.
